This exceptional antique paperweight features a beautifully crafted cast iron turtle with its original paint intact. This sweet turtle was likely made in America and dates back to the 1880s. The detail of this this casting is most unusual and is close to nature. This turtle paperweight is an excellent addition to any collection of late Victorian iron work. It retains its original black enamel paint covering with a few of the red highlights surviving. This turtle is surprising pert and stands up on its well articulated legs.
