The large pickguard has a down belly bridge that looks like a horn, giving it a dignified look.

In the late '80s and early '90s, Guild sought to recapture the quality and craftsmanship associated with its heyday in the '50s and '60s.
We have completely revised our acoustic guitar lineup and established a slightly different sound.
The company enlisted the help of renowned vintage guitar dealer and expert George Groen.
We consulted about the vintage guild guitar sound and went through trial and error to bring back that sound.

Unlike the 70's model that was especially popular in Japan, it's not as heavy and the percussive sound is a little smoother.
I get the impression that the sound has changed to fit more modern sounds, perhaps due to the adoption of scalloped bracing.

The original parts remain, and the only part that has been changed is probably the nut.
The paint film shows discoloration and weather check due to age.
The neck has a slight bulge at the base and top, but the saddle and nut have been adjusted to maintain a string height of 2.5mm on the 6th string side.
There are no problems with the performance and excellent playability is ensured.

Highly recommended for those who want to acquire a vintage guitar.
