You are bidding on an 8 x 10 colour photograph of HMNZS Southland F 104 , the Leander Batch 1B  Class frigate which served in the Royal Navy from 1963 to 1982, and the Royal New Zealand Navy, as HMNZS Southland, from 1982 to 1995.

The Southland, began her long life, as HMS Dido , on 02 December 1959, at the venerable Yarrow shipyards .She was launched on22 December 1961 , and commissioned into the Royal Navy on 18 September 1963. She was commissioned into the Royal New Zeland Navy on 01 March 1983.
 
After serving the interests of Queen and Country she was decommissioned in 1982, and sold to New Zealand, decommissioning in 1995, and was scrapped later that year. 

Photograph one is circa 1988 and shows an overall waterline starboard bow  view.
