Lambswool knitting yarn spun by Hinchliffe, England's oldest yarn spinner.

The count of the yarn is 2/17's or 8500NM and is suitable for 7 gauge knitting machines or multi end for heavier gauge machines. For hand knitting it is similar to 2 Ply. The spinner's shade name is "GOTHIC".

The yarn is in oil - it's best to knit a small swatch first then gently hand wash and dry to get your course and needle count and then use this to ensure your finished article is the correct size. The total weight is 920g, and the weight of the yarn minus the centre cone is 890g. The postal weight (including packaging) is 960g.

I am as careful as possible about the photos being a good representation of colour, but colours can vary slightly from the picture. I am more than happy to send you a small sample before you buy if needed.
