A Bit of History!

Charmin was first introduced in 1928 by the Hoberg Paper Company of Green Bay, Wisconsin. The first product was a bathroom tissue made from the pulp of the Northern White Pine. The name of the product was derived from the French word for softness, "charmant". In 1950, Charmin was purchased by the Procter & Gamble Company (P&G). Since then, P&G has launched several innovative products under the Charmin brand name, including Charmin Ultra, which was the first two-ply toilet paper on the market, and Charmin Freshmates, the first flushable wet wipes. Charmin continues to be a leader in the toilet paper market, with a wide range of products that are designed to meet the needs of consumers.
