Deadeye Dartboard Surround and Lighting System.
This is the ultimate piece of kit. Anybody with a Dartboard set up at home, without good lighting, is doing their game a big injustice. Whether you’re practicing or playing a game against a friend you need to see where your darts are on the board, as you are throwing.
Straight out of the box the surround is a light, sleek black number, smooth and contoured. Also included is an instruction sheet that clearly explains that the surround should be mounted with 15mm clearance from the rear of the board. From the unpacking to having the surround aligned to where I wanted the cable to be and fitted took a few minutes. I turned it on and made a few minor adjustments for my own taste, and it was ready to go. One piece, no assembly required! And it took no time before I was ready to play.
The Deadeye Dartboard Surround and Lighting System is a two for one deal.
It’s a dartboard surround and a Dartboard light all in one. Literally takes minutes to install and there is no fiddling or fussing around. The surround light is powered from a USB Cable, the strip of LEDs hidden in the surround provide bright (not blinding)clear shadow free lighting to the surface of the board.
There is no adapter to mess with the USB can be plugged into a power board with USB outlets or you can even use your phone charger, so you don’t have yet another charger/power plug floating around.
The real beauty of the Deadeye Dartboard Surround and Lighting System is in its simple ergonomic design Its like playing on a regular board with a surround. Some light systems are large and bulky, others have parts projecting off the front of the board, that require disassembly when you rotate your board (you do rotate your board, to avoid excessive wear and degradation right?). The Deadeye Dartboard Surround and Lighting System can be left in place when rotating your board its up to you.
Just a couple of things to remember - it probably won’t fit on a board mounted in a cabinet, most cabinets are a neat fit for the board itself. If you have a habit of landing the odd dart into the surround you may need to check the board lighting for shadows and re-adjust the light from time to time. A really great all in one surround/light combo.
