Prodigy 7.1 LT with VIA ICE172x (ENVY24xT) controller chip supports 24-bit 192 kHz audio output / 24-bit 96 kHz input and professional audio playback and recording capabilities. Without the need for an additional I/O bracket, the Prodigy 7.1 LT can be connected to DAT, MD, A/V receiver and speakers via high quality optical (24-bit/96kHz) and coaxial (24-bit/192kHz) connectors. The Prodigy 7.1 LT uses an 8-channel Wolfson WM8770 codec (24-bit/192kHz) and analogue circuitry for each output, so you can experience clear, low-noise audio (ADC 24-bit/96kHz). The wide frequency range (22~192 kHz), together with bit-accuracy, make for clear sound. The Prodigy 7.1 LT reduces noise as much as possible by removing the AC97 codec from the design and connecting the microphone input directly to the 24-bit/96 kHz codec. Despite the small PCB, its stability and robustness surpasses that of professional sound cards, with tantalum capacitors, low profile and high quality parts that expensive sound cards use. Anti-Pop circuitry has been added to eliminate the crackle heard during system power-up/shutdown due to voltage spikes. The Prodigy 7.1 LT's built-in headphone amplifier is powerful enough to deliver the best sound quality from the headphone output.
