Great looking folk art pheaaasant pair decoy carving by Carl Forslund,  they were also marketed under the name Wolverine carvers after the Forslund furniture store went out of business. . They were typically offered in either a painted and cherry  finish, this is a rarely seen and  unusual slighly iridescent paint finish.  Great vintage primitive folk art pieces.

Excellent overall condition however the hen has a glue joint that didnt seal tight , but is stable.   These have the last style period III bun bases.

Very hard to find Forslund birds.  Ive collected these birds for over 25 years and have only had a few of these. 

Carl Forslund made roughly 20 different species .
