TIRPITZ German WWII Battleship ARFIX Ship Plastic Model Kit. # 04209-7

Sister ship to the Bismarck. Tirpitz proved to be more of a potential threat to the British Royal Navy and Allied convoys in the North Atlantic and in Arctic waters en route to Russian ports of Murmansk and Archangel. Tirpitz spent most of its service life based at various ports in Norway and was the subject of attack by British X-craft mini-subs, frogmen, and numerous RAF attacks. She was finally sunk at anchor in Norway by RAF Lancaster heavy bombers.

Kit features highly detailed deck, superstructure and hull. 4x main rotating turrets, 2 fore and 2 aft each with 2x 14" guns, 6x secondary armament turrets - 3 each port and starboard sides, range finder, searchlights, masts, cranes, catapult with Arado floatplane reconnaissance aircraft, ships propellers and shafts, rudder.
