Description: This antique pair of mid-1800s sunglasses feature a brass frame with 4 teal (turquoise) glass lenses. The lenses are hinged and could be moved over one another for double protection or swung towards the temples to block peripheral sunlight. The original temple (arm) is marked: "Schildknecht" and has an adjustable length. Unfortunately, the other temple has been replaced with an antique brass temple that is not original and not adjustable. The hinge screw was replaced with a crude piece of wire.
The lenses of these spectacles/eyeglasses/sunglasses are not prescription.

Size: Frame width is approximately 4.75 inches (120mm)

Condition: Lenses are all original with no cracks. Normal scratches and scuffs from use. One temple has been replaced and is not original. Please see photos for a more detailed visual description of the item.
