This is a Homer Laughlin brand porcelain gravy/sauce boat with gilt trim.

Backstamp details that this piece was made in December 1956, in Newell, West Virginia at Plant 6.

Gravy boat measures approximately 8.5" L x 4" H x 2.75" W.

It is exquisite! The pattern is Dogwood (Liberty) and it has a pedestal base, gilt/gold trim, one handle, and a stunning depiction of a dogwood branch.

Condition-wise, the boat is free from cracks, chips, discoloration/stains, etc. As with many items from the past that have gilt trim, there is a loss of some of the gold, which has flaked off through washing over the years. But the piece is understated yet elegant, and a rare find, at that.
