ROYAL COPENHAGEN FIGURINE -- BOY WITH TWO CALVES #1858

9.5" high, 7.5" long, 5" deep

Here we have one of Royal Copenhagen's Farm Yard figurines--Boy with Two Calves.  You will see the muted colors that Royal Copenhagen is noted for.  This one is soft blue, white, brown and charcoal.  According to a Royal Copenhagen book that I have, the factory stamp (a bar above the "C" of Copenhagen in the logo) indicates that the piece was manufactured in 1940.  (I don't know if that mean first manufactured.)   The logo on the base also shows that the piece is a first quality because there are no scratches through the three wave blue lines.  (You should be able to see and/or feel the scratches when determining quality.)  Smooth indicated first quality.

Condition:  This piece is without flaws--no chips, no cracks, no crazing, no fading and no scratches through the wavy blue lines.

It's time to continue culling more of my figurines.  In the weeks and probably months to come you will more of my RCD Paperweights, several of my small Herend fishnet animals, a couple Royal Copenhagen people and vases, perhaps a few more Shanghai baskets, and anything else I can bear to part with at the moment.  I hope you will find and enjoy many items to add to your collections.  So please take a look now and then at my listings, or better yet, add me to your favorites so you can see what I add when I list them as I continue my downsizing journey.

Shipping will be via USPS Priority Mail.

Thanks for checking out my listing.
