Biography: WERNER, Dietrich Hans W. Born in Germany, he moved to Canada in 1972, then to Toronto. Largely self-taught, influenced by Canadians, Alberto De Castro and Cecil Young Fox, as well as naive European painters, they carved their niche with bold colors. One of his works was used by Air Canada for a Christmas card in 1983. This painting uses a similar scene on Christmas Air Canada card.
