The right packing of an antique oil lamp is not easy, there are many moving parts that have to be dismantled and then separately wrapped with the right materials----bubblewrap / styrofoam peanuts and styrofoam boards and strong boxes inside strong boxes. All this creates time, weight /size and cost and this is what you as the customer/ buyer are being charged for, a 120 year old lamp is and should be protected in postage and this is what i am endeavouring to do. Please take this into consideration when bidding, postage is not cheap, a tradie would charge you a minimum of $100 for the first hour of work// or a house call , so getting a parcel delivered halfway round the country [[ and sometimes into remote areas ]] is not that expensive under $100. This is not personal, it's what it is. Kind regards. All lamps are fully insured in transit .
I have hundreds of lamps so please inquire if you see anything you like.
