What is Tantum Rosa?

Tantum Rosa is an analgesic, anti-inflammatory, and antiseptic drug intended for the care of intimate areas in women. It prevents infection and significantly reduces the risk of infection in the wounds after childbirth.

The active substance of Tantum Rosa is benzydamine hydrochloride, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug. It has anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties. The drug also has a local anesthetic and disinfectant effect and is well tolerated. It can be used for both washing and irrigation.

Tantum Rosa is recommended especially for young mothers who had an episiotomy during childbirth and the puerperium. The indications for use are also discomfort and irritation of the intimate areas, such as:
