Fantastic Mid century retro style!  Made of Heavy, Hand Painted Italian Pottery/ Porcelain. This type of figurine has many points, tips and were susceptible to loss/damage. This one does have that "Badge" of honor. Surviving mostly intact, but does have some of this typical/ very common damage. Has a firing Crack by paw. See pics.
