Comments: A very rare 1937 King George VI $1.00 from what the majority agree was one of the most beautiful series ever printed by the Bank of Canada!! Error notes from this series are virtually never seen or offered. This is a stunning specimen that is for all intents and purposes, an uncirculated bill. Unquestionably a note that was never in circulation. West to East is the correct size, but North to South is considerably larger than intended. Charlton explains that 1935 and 1937 Bank of Canada error notes are "seldom encountered". We will add, that is likely the understatement of the day.
