Welcome to Milkweed Antiques.

This needlepoint picture was hand made from a kit. It was titled Cheshire Cat. The picture actually states "Man's Best Friend". This kit was made by Columbia Minerva and was designed by Meredith Gladstone. It was from 1972. That certainly is the style of this picture. Very mod with lots of colors. The background is white and the colors are much brighter than my pictures. This framed picture has a solid black border on the edge by the dark red frame. The frame is made from heavy, solid wood. It does have glass. This framed needlepoint is 17" wide x 16-1/2" tall x 1-3/8" deep. It is almost square. As mentioned above, this picture is from the 1970s.

This would be a fun gift for the 1970s, cat, or needlepoint lover!!

There are nicks to the paint of the frame on the edges. There are a couple of holes on the paper liner on the back. There is a liquid stain at the bottom that shows just on the paper. It does not have an associated odor. Please see my pictures. They help with the description. My price reflects the condition.
