You are purchasing a rare Sesame Street Portable Cassette Recorder made in 1977 by Concept 2000 featuring the lovable Ernie holding a working microphone.  The recorder includes full-feature push button operation and a detachable microphone for audio recording.  The recorder comes in its original box with its original foam packaging and instruction manual.

Overall, the recorder is in very good vintage condition and functions well when tested (as shown in the attached video) with 4 "C" batteries and a standard audio cassette tape (batteries and cassette tape not included).  The audio plays relatively well for its age and the recording function worked when tested, although the audio does waiver a little when the volume is adjusted.  The player and Ernie show some light surface wear from age and use, but looks good overall.  There are a few marks on the recorder and some signs of writing on the back, but the images and figures are quite clean.  The battery case is clean and the cover fits well.  The microphone cord does have some packaging stuck to it from age, but it looks to be able to be peeled off and does not impact the function of the player.

The box is structurally sound, but does show some fading/discoloration on the images and some wear on the edges as well as some writing on it as it appears this might have been a library or classroom item at some point.  The instruction manual is a little crunched on the top and has some writing on it as well, but it is a nice addition to the lot.

Since this item is being sold as is, please be sure to see all images and the included video for details on condition and operation.
