Only N52 Neodymium Rare Earth magnets, the strongest commonly available, are used in these. Although please note that if your toolbox has extra thick foam (i.e greater than 4mm) the magnetic force will be weakened. The hole size has been created to allow the square head of the ratchet to fit in at any angle, hence it may seem like a loose fit depending on the rotation of the square bit. Magnets are designed to keep the holder in place in the drawer, not to hold the tools.
