The set of cathode ray tubes produced by our factory consists of four groups, namely J2453 type magneto effect cathode ray tubes and J2456 type electrostatic effect cathode ray tubes. The material specifications are as follows:
1、 Purpose
1. Magnetographic cathode ray tube: demonstrating the occurrence of cathode rays in a magnetic field
2. Direct cathode ray tube: Demonstrating the phenomenon of cathode rays moving in a straight line and being blocked by metal.
3. Mechanical effect cathode ray tube: Demonstrating the phenomenon of cathode rays causing mechanical motion of objects, demonstrating that cathode rays have momentum and energy.
4. Cathode ray tube with electrostatic effect: Demonstrating the phenomenon of cathode ray deflection in an electric field, proving that cathode ray is a negatively charged particle flow (i.e. electron flow).
2、 Structure
1. The direct entry magnetic effect cathode ray tube consists of a bubble shell, a baffle, a fluorescent plate, a cathode, an anode, and a rubber base.
2. A straight forward cathode ray tube consists of a bubble shell, a metal baffle, a bracket, a cathode, an anode, and a rubber base.
3. The cathode ray tube with mechanical effects is composed of a bubble shell, a guide rail bracket, a small wing wheel, a circular electrode, and a rubber base.
Composed of field electrodes, cathodes, anodes, and rubber seats. 3、 Supporting instruments
1. Low voltage DC power supply: Output DC 10-12V. 2. High voltage induction coil: Spark distance 50-80mm. 3. Voltage regulating transformer: AC 220V ± 10V.
4. DC high-voltage current: output DC 250V-300V. 5. Hoof shaped magnet: opening 50-70mm.
6. Wires and wires with crocodile clips. 4、 Demonstration environmental conditions

1. The relative humidity shall not exceed 80%.
2. Temperature -10 ℃ -40 ℃. 5、 Demonstration methods
The four wiring methods for cathode ray tubes are shown in Figures 1 to 4. Several types of cathode ray A2 are connected to the induction coil to output the "-" pole. When the power is turned on, cathode rays are emitted from the cathode tube (excluding the cathode tube), and the induction coil conversion switch can be switched.
1. During the demonstration of the magneto cathode ray tube, A2 emits the cathode emitter and shows a strip of track on the fluorescent plate, indicating that the cathode ray is moving in a straight line. Add a transverse magnetic field in the middle (with a shoe shaped magnet opening downwards and horizontally stuck in the middle of the tube to form a magnetic field), and the track of the cathode ray will deflect, thus determining that the ray is a charged particle flow.
Note: The radiation emitted by cathode A2 is the electron flow, which is opposite to the direction of the usually specified current. The direction of ray deflection can be determined based on the direction of the magnetic field. 2. It is best to demonstrate a straight cathode ray tube in a darkroom. During the demonstration, A2 emits cathode rays, and a shadow with the same shape as the metal baffle will appear on the glass wall of the screen at the large end of the ray tube. Clear yellow green fluorescence appears on the glass around the shadow. This indicates that cathode rays move in a straight line and have a weak ability to penetrate metal sheets.
3. When demonstrating a mechanical effect cathode ray tube, the circular electrode emits cathode rays, which are projected onto a wing wheel coated with fluorescent material. The side of the wing that is illuminated by the cathode rays emits fluorescence, and the small wing wheel rolls in the direction of the cathode ray movement. Rotate the sensing coil up to switch, causing the cathode ray to change its movement direction. This indicates that cathode rays are a stream of particles with a certain amount of momentum and energy, and can be transmitted to the irradiated object.
4. During the demonstration of the cathode ray tube with electrostatic effect, a strip of track appeared when the low-voltage power supply was first connected. Then connect the DC high-voltage current to form an electric field, which deflects. As the output voltage of the voltage regulator transformer changes (i.e. the change in DC high voltage)

Causing changes in electric field intensity, the deflection angle of the strip track also changes. According to the deflection of cathode rays in an electric field, it can be confirmed that cathode rays are a constant charge particle flow, and these negatively charged particles are electrons.
Note: The higher the DC component added to the electrodes of the B1 and B2 electric fields, the more stable the deviation of the polar ray strip track. On the contrary, the strip track will flicker and become unstable. Do not apply too high a DC voltage (not exceeding 400V) to avoid sparking between parallel plate electrodes. If there is no voltage regulating transformer, the deviation strip track can be obtained without directly using a DC high-voltage power supply, but the change in deviation angle cannot be observed.
Practice has shown that without connecting a voltage regulating transformer and a DC high-voltage power supply, only one of the B1 and B2 electrodes is grounded, and the other electrode is empty. By using self elevating high-voltage to generate a static electric field, the strip track deviation of cathode rays is particularly obvious.
6、 Precautions
1. Vacuum glass products, handle with care, pay attention to protecting the bubble shell to prevent air failure.
2. Do not use excessive force when connecting the electrodes to avoid damaging the instrument.
3. Pay attention to wiring according to the wiring diagram, verify the power supply voltage, and conduct a demonstration after checking for accuracy.
4. Do not apply voltage to the tube for a long time to emit the cathode line, in order to prevent the glass from being exposed to cathode rays for too long and strongly absorbing gas, affecting its luminous ability, and also avoiding accelerating the aging of the fluorescent plate.
5. The instrument should be placed flat and securely, stored in a cool, ventilated, and dry place, and protected from moisture and shock.
