In the case of my military surplus items I would like to stress that you are purchasing military surplus from around the world. Unless the item states that it is new, NOS condition in packaging items in non or un-issued condition can be 50 years old or more. They will not show wear or signs of use but they have been stored for years and shipped around the world so they will show signs of storage and may have that military surplus smell. Used surplus will show signs of use and wear but won't be damaged or excessively worn unless stated as such.
