VINTAGE 2016 DAVID
SALAZAR ART GLASS LAVENDER PULLED FEATHER TOOTHPICK HOLDER
A
beautiful piece of American studio made art glass in the form of a lovely
little toothpick holder. It is a quality
piece of blown glass and was handmade by Master Glass Artisan David Salazar. The base color of the glass is lavender and
the surface has a “Pulled Feather” pattern done in blue; reminiscent of the
Steuben “blue aurene” color. The
decoration is then further enhanced with an iridized (carnival glass like) finish. The piece in my photos is the actual item you
will receive. This piece has been part
of my personal toothpick holder collection since 2017. Please be sure to read the “Age and Condition” & “Approximate Dimensions” paragraphs below.
It
is a beautiful example of David Slazar’s talented ability and technique working
in hot glass. It is etched/scratch
signed “D P Salazar 5 - 16” on the bottom.
Note: the signature and the date are not real clear on this.
It
is gorgeous as you can see from the photos!
If
you are not familiar with the NTHCS (National Toothpick Holder Collectors’
Society) it is a great organization and you can learn more about them and
collecting toothpick holders at their website.
I
do my best to describe all items as accurately as possible and to the best of
my ability. Some of my photos may be
somewhat lighter or darker than actual to better show detail or color. However, do not hesitate to contact me with
any questions, comments, or with requests for additional pictures. I will get back to you as soon as I am
able. I want your transaction with me to
be exactly the way I want mine to be when I am the buyer.

collecting antiques and collectables.
PROVENANCE
I
purchased this directly from David Salazar at the 2017 NTHCS convention. He frequently brought toothpick holders he
had made to sell at the convention.
Age and Condition
This
piece dates to circa 2016.
It
is in pristine mint condition. Please
look closely at the photos as they are an important part of my description of
this item. There are no chips, flea bites,
cracks, hairlines, or repairs to the glass, and no visible signs of use or wear
– see my photos. I will mention that
this toothpick holder has not been factory ground on the underside and does
have a bit of a sharp, or rough, pontil mark (Note: This is not damage, just
the way it came from the artist’s studio).
Please keep in mind these photos may be blown up at least 8-10 times
normal, so anything you see will look 8-10 times larger in the photos than it
really is.
Please
note: if you see a dark spot in the photos, it is from my camera and is not a
mark on the piece. It will be either
just to the right of center towards the bottom or slightly above center on the
right side of the photo.
Approximate Dimensions
About
1.875” (4.8 cm) at the widest point and sits about 2” (5.1 cm) off the table.
Approximate Weight
About
2.75 ounces (80 grams).
SALES TAX
Depending
on which state you live in eBay may add State Sales Tax on your purchase.

INTERNATIONAL BUYERS
The only form of

International
shipments will encounter longer shipping times due to distance and Customs
requirements. The USPS says 6-10

import taxes or other related customs or import charges and all our out-of-pocket
costs incurred in the shipment of packages internationally.
International
shipment options will be via USPS First Class Mail (when the item being shipped
meets the requirements of that service) or Priority Mail when it does not.
DO NOT ask us to
show a lesser value on the Customs Forms than the item sold for, or to ship the
item purchased item as a gift. Ebay
requires us to report any buyer to them who requests this.
