Original souvenir program for the spring 1962 tour of Europe of the Count Basie Orchestra, that featured such soloists as Marshal Royal, Frank Wess, Frank Foster, Thad Jones, Quentin Jackson, Freddie Green and Sonny Payne. The tour was organized by Norman Granz and the German Lippmann+Rau agency. The booklet shows multiple full page black & white photographs of the artists and texts in English and German. Graphic design: Hans Michel & Günther Kieser. Multiple press clippings are laid in.

Condition: Some creases along the spine. Some of the pages are detached, as is so often the case with these programs. The previous owner has underlined some of the song titles on the program page and has written ‘Spring 1962’ on the first inner page.
