Description - A fiction novel: YOU, THE JURY by Mary Borden, copyright 1952, dust cover, 346 pages.  Longmans, Green and Co., New York, Book-of-the-Month Club selection.  Red cloth-covered boards, plain, with tan titling on the spine, deckled side edges.

Condition - The book is very good to excellent condition, just a slight bump along the board cover edge and a tiny "1953" penned in blue ink on the front pastedown near the top (see photo).  Otherwise the book is clean, flat, reasonably tight and bright, only slight soil to top edge, sharp corners, no edgewear.  No other ink or pencil marks, no stains, no folds or creases, not browned or foxed, has the feel of only being read once and shelved.  The dust jacket however is chipped and has a serious tear back upper corner (see photo), a worn-away patch bottom spine and is slightly soiled from handling.

Backstory - A topical theme for readers in 1952 still recovering from WWII. Told from the point of view of a childhood friend of a mystical sort of man who is on trial for treason and giving comfort to the enemy while he was an ambulance driver and orderly - and a conscientious objector.

See the nine enclosed photos for additional confirmation of the condition described above.
