Very good cosmetic condition for being over 120 years old, but untested. This instrument was made by Bohland & Fuchs in Graslitz, Austria around 1901 under the name "Marceau." It was marketed here in the USA by Sears & Roebuck at that time. The pistons are marked 58, 59 & 60, and have mother-of-pearl caps. The signature "B&F" and "Austria" are also stamped in the tubing. A very few smaller dents will be found. The word "Marceau" is stamped on the bell. All three slides work but are a little stiff and need lubrication. We assume the pads need replacing and possibly other maintenance or repairs we are not aware of. It has been in storage for over 50 years. See all 18 photos. Lot #GG-122323-1

We have been selling on eBay since 1997 and have thousands of satisfied customers around the world, as can be seen by our customer rating. Since most of our items come from our customers seeking us to sell off unwanted items, estate liquidations and surplus inventory, we never know what we will get next. So, while we do have a lot of experience selling, we ARE NOT EXPERTS on all the items we sell. We provide quality photos to best represent the condition of the item.
