Flow Blue Transferware with Burnt Orange Flowers

 We believe this is at least 100 Years Old!

Description:  
This is a three-piece Footed Demitasse Cup, Saucer & Dessert Plate Set -- OR, this could be a child's set.  We would call this a type of "Asiatic" pattern.  It appears to be "Flow Blue" transferware with hand painted burnt or dark orange flowers, tinted light orange leaves and small flowers, and dark blue leaf shapes.  A geometric pattern with a a stylized fleur-de-lis shape encircles around the inner edge of the plate, saucer and interior top edge of cup. A dark burnt orange line is painted around the outside rim edge of all three pieces.

Maker Mark:  
  • There is an impressed mark -- we have not been able to identify or clearly read it.  
  • Hand painted numbers read:  4285 -- With a number 2 hand painted next to it.
  • Believe this was manufactured in the late 1800's
