The immense popularity of the movie Titanic in 1997 sparked a wave of memorabilia and replicas. Among the highest quality items were those produced by Franklin Mint, a company famed for its many collectibles. They released a collection of dolls and items based on the heroine Rose, played by Kate Winslet. This doll, "Reunited in Heaven" features the dress worn by Rose in the final scene of the film, when she again meets Jack on the ship in a dreamlike sequence. It stands approximately 17" in height on a sturdy base and is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
This variation is now one of the rarer dolls in the collection, and this particular one is even rarer: it's in mint condition and has never been removed from the box. All of the original packaging is complete, and even the Franklin Mint Collector Portfolio with the certificate is still sealed in the plastic sleeve. The box has only the most minimal signs of wear given that it's now over 25 years old, and there are no large rips, dents, or other damage: just minimal creasing and one tiny rip on some of the edges and corners. In short, this is a spectacular collector's item that rarely becomes available.
