Pink Triangle LPT in beautiful condition. Purchased new by my Uncle in the 80's and little used, just sat in his HiFi cabinet until my acquisition around 4 years ago. Since then. it has been lovingly restored, with several improvements and could pass as new, not a mark on it. The mint Rega RB300 pickup arm is fitted with a Roksan Corus MM cartridge and a Musonic stylus, only because the original stylus was damaged, not worn out. The Roksan Corus shares the same basic body shape as the Goldring G1000 series, so for example, a G1042 stylus could be fitted, although it sounds superb as it is! Unlike the G1000's, the Roksan's have captive mounting threads, for a "cleaner" look and also makes adjustment in the head shell more easy.

A new bespoke 4mm perspex dust cover has been fabricated, with the correct cut outs for the upgraded Linn style hinges and is a PERFECT fit. The top plate has been refinished in a lighter colour than original, giving a "fresher" more modern look and internal bracing has been added to the known weak spot. The original crystal controlled power supply has been retained, but reworked for greater reliability. The mains cable has been terminated in a switched plug top, enabling the internal power supply to be properly isolated from the mains when not in use (All LPT control switches only change the speed and cut power to the motor, they do not cut the mains to the power supply). Audio leads are terminated in quality gold plated RCA's.

To reduce EMF and static, a grounding tab and cable have been added to the platter bearing mounting, terminated in a spade lug, for connection to the grounding post of an amplifier.

The platter has a cork rubber mat, with fresh oil in the main bearing. For improved isolation, Sorbothane feet, slightly larger than the original, are secured to the unmarked plinth. Motor is whisper quiet, in fact, it's hard to hear any noise from it whatsoever and the platter spins up to either 33.33 or 45 rpm with ease (see video). The RB300 arm has been set up correctly, using an alignment protractor and the belt runs true at both speeds, with no rubbing.

I have probably only used the LPT for a couple of hours, so this is a rare opportunity to own a truly wonderful, low hours, piece of HiFi history. This is a beautiful looking, well designed, stunning sounding turntable, free of any unnecessary complications and really easy to live with. I've struggled with the thought of parting with it, but the time has come for it to go to a new home.

I will not ship it and I don't think anyone serious about owning it would want me to! However, I do have a box that could be used for protection, when collected in person. Very happy to demonstrate at BN8 4ND, although pick-up only, is also possible during weekdays, from SE27 0DQ.

Cash on collection or bank transfer. Very happy to answer any questions and provide further information and images if needed. Thanks for looking.
