Description - An early 1900's period fiction novel:  EXCUSE MY DUST, by Bellamy Partridge, copyright 1943, Whittlesey House, New York, 359, no dust jacket, 5-1/2 x 8 inches.  Hardcover with black cloth-covered boards, gilt titling on a maroon panel on the spine, red top edge, deckle edge side, illustrated frontispiece and several similar illustrations scattered within the text.

Condition - The biggest issue with the book is the lightly bowed boards.  Otherwise, the exterior is clean, a bit rubbed here and there, pretty fair corners and spine head/foot.  Not sunned, slightly dusty on the edges.  Inside, an owner name was neatly penned with the date in the upper right corner of the front free endpaper.  There is modest toning throughout, but most noteworthy along the peripheries of the pastedowns and endpapers.  No ink, no pencil, no rips, no stains, no folds or creases, no dog-ears, no foxing, etc.

Backstory - A humorous, period story about the absorption of the automobile into the fabric of society at the turn of the 20th century in a town that was very much accustomed to and comfortable with the horse and buggy.
