I used an art erase pencil  which u can sharpening to a point and removed some off the residue. 

Faber Castell 1058..not included.

So the1st picture is after I used the pencil.

still needs more work

All the others are before.

the black part of the knob has reflections when taking the picture

may show sings of use ,wear scratches dirt

 I wipe down with water and paper towel . 

 I didn't try anything else to clear area around 0-10 afraid take lettering off
