Dawn Redwood (Metasequoia) - 5-10 inch bare root dormant trees.

A great fast growing deciduous needled conifer shade tree that once grew in the age of the dinosaurs and long thought extinct until found in rural China in 1941. Grows 2-6 feet a year. Can eventually grow to over 200 feet tall. Bark and foliage resemble those found on sequoias or bald cypresses.  Prefers full sun and moist conditions but can withstand drought or moderate flooding as well.  Maintains a pyramidal shape. Grows in USDA zones 4-8.
