c1920's Pierce's 14 oz. Tomato Ketchup Bottle Utah Canning Co. Ogden, UT

The Utah Canning Company was started by Robert Lundy. It dates back to the late 1880's, but it peaked in the 1920's and 1930's, and declined in the 1950's. Though they canned countless fruits and vegetables, the most highly regarded were Utah's peas and tomatoes, grown mostly in Weber, Utah. In 1889, Isaac N Pierce joined the company, and that's when they started using his name on the labels.

"Pierce's 14 oz. Net Weight
Tomato Ketchup
Distributed by The Utah Canning Co.
Freewater, Ore: Ogden, Utah"

"Made from fresh ripe tomatoes, granulated sugar, distilled vinegar, garlic, spices, onion, salt."

"Free from all artificial preservatives and coloring matter."

Bottom reads,
"20 3A F
Duraglas
1738-EP"

Measures about 8.5" x 2.5"

Condition: In great condition for its age. Label is a little wrinkly at top, just because it wasn't put on straight. Front label is starting to tear at edges, but it's also very tightly glued on still. Bottle looks excellent. No chips or cracks.
