You are buying a chance to hatch 4 fertile Heritage Turkey eggs that are from our turkey gang of pure breed Heritage Turkeys: Narragansetts, Burbon Reds, Blue Slate, and Black Spanish.

OUR TURKEYS: We are a ‘safe use’ organic Poultry Farm and Orchard in eastern TN. Our gorgeous Heritage Turkeys are 100% Heritage breeds. We have Narragansett, Bourbon Red, Blue Slate, and Black Spanish Heritage Turkeys in our flock. We do not have  "mixed breed"  birds, but have different pure breed Heritage turkeys living together to offer multiple variations within our flock. All of our birds are fed only the best organic diet and have a safe, large pasture for foraging. We interact with our ‘boys and girls’ many times during each day…handling them, cleaning up, giving treats, sitting with them…and even singing to (and with) them. They are a healthy, friendly gang that get along very well…and we think of (and treat them) as our pets. We have included photos of some of our actual heritage turkeys in their living environment in this listing…not stock photos.

HATCHING EGGS: We gather eggs several times a day and only ship the best, freshest eggs collected. Because of their fragile nature, buyers are strongly encouraged to do research about the handling and hatching of turkey eggs to avoid all possible difficulties. It is the buyers responsibility to make the proper environment and equipment available for hatching. (We believe shipped hatching eggs should sit in a cool ‘hatching’  location several hours before incubation). We are happy to answer any questions about our hatching eggs.

FERTILITY: Please keep in mind that what you are actually buying is the ‘chance’ to hatch turkey eggs. We are unable to guarantee that each egg will develop and hatch due to the fragile nature of the embryos, conditions when in transit, and individual hatching practices. Eggs that never develop do not mean they were not fertile. We have hatched often and keep a high ratio of Toms to Hens (with constant supervision) and are largely certain about fertility. There are many things that can prevent a viable egg from developing, such as trauma during shipping, x-rays, rolling air cells, transit delays, etc. We can only guarantee that the eggs were fertile, in perfect condition, and safely wrapped and packed when they left our location and, therefore, cannot offer replacements, returns, or refunds.

SHIPPING: We notify buyers when eggs have been shipped, so they can track delivery and be prepared to handle the eggs immediately upon delivery. Egg fulfillment normally takes 2-7 days, but can take longer for larger orders. Eggs are individually wrapped in bubble wrap and safely packed in a USPS priority box. The box is marked FRAGILE on the outside. Insurance is automatically included with every order. In the unlikely event that eggs are mishandled by the USPS and damaged or broken, a claim may be filed by the buyer through the USPS.
