This auction is for a 24"  German doll made by Carl Hartmann.  

Head: no hairline cracks, original brown sleep eyes with lashes, 4 front teeth, deep auburn mohair wig wig.  There are a couple of paint pulls on the very upper right forehead.  The ears are not pierced. The marks are very deeply incised.  My understanding is this means that this is one of the first heads out of the mold (but there would have been multiple molds of the head)

28 raised 7 (like an exponent)

 BODY: The body is tightly strung. It is 15 pieces.  It can sit or stand. It is not original to the head. It is not stamped.  It has the usual scuffs and scrapes of the antique composition bodies 

CLOTHING

She is wearing reproduction socks and suede shoes.  The full slip and panties are antique.  They are in very good condition.  The slip had been slip stitched shut.  I had to open it to take pictures.  It is pinned shut now.  The outfit is 3 parts. It is made from antique silks.  The most accurate colors are the pictures with the green background. The dress is sleeveless, gathered at the waist.  The bodice is lined.  All seams are finished.  There is a black lace front overlay.  It snaps in back. The snap came off one side at the waistline.  Since I am no longer able to sew these on, it is pinned.  The jacket is the pattern shown in the pictures. It is fully lines. There are 2 snaps that attach it to the waist on both sides. The matching bonnet has feathers, silk flowers and silk bow.  The fabric matches the jacket.                                                                                                 

SHIPPING 
Shipping is an estimate. I put in estimated total weight and package size, Ebay gives you a price based on that and the distance it will travel from Connecticut.  I will ship the least expensive way possible. The package will be insured for the value paid. It is included in the shipping cost.  I expect payment within 3 days of purchase or receipt of invoice unless otherwise agreed.
I will combine shipping when I can.  No more than 4 dolls per box. ALL COMBINED PURCHASES MUST BE PAID FOR TOGETHER SINCE I CAN'T INSURE IT PROPERLY OTHERWISE.  Dolls cannot be shipped with the wigs.

I am not a professional dealer.  I am selling my  collection of 1000+ dolls, accumulated over 40 years.  Many of these have been put together with parts bought separately over years. I describe to the best of my ability.

 FOR PACKING  I USE PREVIOUSLY USED BOXES, CLEAN PLASTICS THAT CAN BE RECYCLED, NOT NEW PACKING MATERIALS. THE HEAD IS WRAPPED IN EITHER NEW OR USED BUBBLE WRAP.  THE BOX/PACKING WILL NOT LOOK  PRETTY OR ELEGANT BUT THE CONTENTS WILL BE SECURE. THESE MATERIALS MAY BE PLASTIC MILK CARTONS, NEWSPAPERS,  EMPTY FOOD PACKAGES, ETC. These all have been washed in hot soapy water and allowed to dry completely.
