I have here for sale a book entitled HORTUS CANTABRIGIENSIS; or An Accented Catalogue of Plants, Indigenous and Exotic, cultivated in the Cambridge Botanic Garden by the late James Donn.  It is a ninth edition improved and augmented by Frederick Pursh.  It was published in 1819 by F C and J Rivington et al.  James Donn (1758–1813) was an English botanist and gardener.  He was trained by William Aiton, a protege of Sir Joseph Banks and was Curator of the Cambridge University Botanic Garden, Cambridge, from 1790 until his death.  His most important work was this Hortus Cantabrigiensis, first published in 1796 but with several later, much expanded, editions. It carried on past his death until 1845.

Quarter leather hardboards with light brown and orange marbled hardboards.  5 raised bands and a leather title block and gilt lettering.  Boards in mint condition.  Same marbled paper as endpapers.  Pages rough cut but clean and firmly bound.  355 pages, 21 x 14 cm.

We wrap and post the parcels on Monday and Tuesday - therefore if you pay before midday on Tuesday we will get it in the postal sacks on Tuesday night, and if it is after that time then it will go into the postal service on the following Monday.
