I have here for sale a book entitled SPORT IN NORWAY, AND WHERE TO FIND IT together with a Short Account of the Vegetable Productions of the Country, to which is added a List of the Alpine Flora of the Dovre Fjeld and of the Norwegian Ferns, etc. by the Rev M R Barnard.  It is a first edition published in 1864 by Chapman and Hall, London.  2 plates and a table showing the number of bears killed in each Amt from 1846 to 1860.  The book covers the different regions (Amts) in Norway, wild reindeer and elk and the game laws in Norway, feathered game and beer and lynx hunting, artificial salmon breeding, sketches from Saetersdal, the vegetable production of Norway and botanical rambles in the Dovre Fjeld, etc.

Red hardboards with a blind embossed pattern.  Gilt motif and lettering to the spine.  Corners and head and tail of spine are slightly bumped.  Boards firm.  One loose page in the preface, all others seem tight and clean.  334 pages, 21 x 13 cm.
