Up for bid is a Massachusetts fiddle pattern coin silver salt spoon by Palmer & Batchelder of Boston.  The spoon is 3 7/8 inches long and weighs 5 grams.  The spoon has rounded shoulders, a shell bowl, no drop and an upturned double-swell fiddle handle.  The spoon is monogrammed “JES” on the handle front.  The spoon is marked [P&B’S] in a rectangle as shown.

Condition on the spoon is fairly good.  There are a few small black spots and normal surface wear.  It has not been buffed.  A nice coin salt spoon.
