Toucan Labradorite Gemstone Bird Carving

Perhaps the most well known tropical bird, the toucan is a symbol of playfulness and intelligence. There are several species of birds in the toucan family, some with names like aracari or toucanet, but they all sport that large, comical bill.

Labradorite is the feldspar. Labradorite has an background color of dark gray, but it displays a beautiful iridescence, giving off rainbow-colored reflections known as labradorescence when light hits it in certain directions.

Labradorite comes from Madagascar.
