Vintage Joseph Lucas Ltd. "King of the Road" Mileometer (aka cyclometer or odometer) for a bicycle including mounting bracket. Measures distance in miles for a 27" wheel. Made in Birmingham, England. Currently has 322.6 miles on it.
Wheel turns smoothly, and meter turns consistently - I cannot speak for accuracy of miles but I don't know why it wouldn't be if it's on the correct size wheel.
Numbered as follows: 87 65275A M27
I do not know what year this particular one is from, but I understand they were most popular in the 1930s and forward until computerized meters became available until sometime in the 80s.
NOTE: The wheel is slightly very slightly bent. I don't know that it would be a factor or if it would be easy to straighten it.
IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT WHEEL SIZE: I did a bit of research before listing this and I understand that the M27 refers to this being for a 27" wheel. If your wheels are a different size, it's not going to measure distance correctly.

I cannot guarantee accuracy as I did not test it on the road. I would have tested this, but my bicycle (a beautiful '73 Raleigh 3-Speed Sport) has 26-inch wheels. As such, I haven't learned even how this gets attached to the bicycle but from what I read it goes on the front tire.
