This deeply beautiful Art Nouveau ring is made of solid 9 carat gold, and is set with a stunning variegated moss-green jade cabochon.

Its natural figuring is reminiscent of cumulus clouds, and bears testament to its natural origin deep within the earth. The greens show from dark moss green to a lighter sea green and the light penetrating just below the surface to varying degrees creates an impression of depth and life.

The ring itself is fabulous quality, with four rounded claws retaining the gem, and foliate designs to the shoulders - all incorporated on its gently tapering gold band. It dates to around 1890/1900, and is stamped '9K' to the inner band to warrant the gold content.

It's a ring size 5 resizeable, and the gem measures 13 x 9 mm. It weighs 2.4 grams and is in good antique condition with expected wear to the stone surface, but no loss or damage.
