(35) This listing is for an Elegant Victorian (c late 1800s / early 1900s) Pot Belly Shaped, Hand Planished EPBM (electro plated Britannia metal) Tea Pot, by the renowned silversmiths 'James Dixon & Sons' of Sheffield. It has a circular foot, a hammered body, a swan neck spout, an unusually shaped handle with a thumb grip, two bone coloured heatproof bands, and it has a flush fitting hinged lid, with a bun shaped finial., It is marked on the underside: 'J D & S' 'EPBM' 'E846', and it bears the Dixons 'Trumpet & Banner' makers mark. It measures approximately 10.7cm high with a 16cm diameter body. It is in great condition, and would make an impressive addition to perhaps an afternoon tea, formal dinner table situation.
