The front incised with a stick cross and the back hollowed for the inclusion of a holy relic, typically, a hair of a saint or a splinter of the true cross. Carried by European Pilgrims traveling to the Holy Land to visit the land where Christ lived and died. Provincial example with quaint workmanship and original tool marks preserved.
