Large Yew Log that has been seasoning for 4years,so is perfect for working with now.as you can see from the photos the bark has flaked away as it has dryed out but the timber underneath is still sound.
The tree must have grown slowly as the timber has a incredibly tight grain and measures 37cm Long 26x27cm at one end and 27x20cm at the other.
Because of its shape it would lend itself perfectly to a large natural edged bowl or could be cut up to make several different things.
as you can see in one of the photos it has a small chainsaw cut (about 2cm at its deepest) but this could easily be worked around.
