Gorgeous restored antique cast iron fireplace from the late Victorian / early Edwardian period. It has been fully stripped, heatproof treated and polished to bring out its original character.
Reclaimed from a redbrick Cheshire period home, this is a lovely condition, original tiled fireplace from the period 1895-1905. It carries authentic foundry marks. The beautiful detail and quality can be seen in the pictures.
The fireplace is made of solid, very heavyweight cast iron in excellent condition. During restoration we retained the original mantle shelf and front fire bars. It retains its original smoke canopy with hand painted tube line tiles. They have survived well. A few minor marks from 120 years of life, but they are all complete without breaks. Please review pics for the final finish.
A metal back can be supplied with this fireplace ( see last 3 pictures)
This is only to be used as a decorative feature only.
