Die Gitarre hat eine Decke aus deutscher Fichte, Boden und Zargen aus geflammten Ahorn. Die Mensur beträgt 640 mm und die Sattelbreite 47 mm. Die originale Schellackpolitur ist in gutem Zustand mit einigen Spiel- und Gebrauchspuren. Die Gitarre ist aber sehr gut erhalten und hat keine Risse oder Reparaturen.
Der Klang ist laut, kraftvoll und mit einer großen Dynamik – sie hat einen großen und tiefen Korpus und dies erzeugt einen erhabenen, fast majestätischen Klang. Der Klang ist schön, meisterhaft mit Konzertqualität. Sie hat viel Klarheit, aber gleichzeitig eine unglaubliche klangliche Flexibilität. August Beck was a guitar maker from Dresden in Saxony, Germany. Not much is known about him. However, the few surviving instruments show great craftsmanship and captivate with fine detailed work.
Like Hermann Hauser I, August Beck built this guitar in the style of the Viennese models. It is a wonderful instrument, with an outstanding sound. It is well made and the choice of materials is excellent.
The guitar has a top made of German spruce, back and sides of flamed maple. The scale length is 640 mm and the nut width is 47 mm. The original shellac polish is in good condition with showing traces of playing and use. However, the guitar is in very good condition and has no cracks or repairs.
The sound is loud, powerful and with great dynamics - it has a large and deep body and this creates a sublime, almost majestic sound. The sound is beautiful, masterful with concert quality. It has a lot of clarity, but at the same time incredible tonal flexibility. It offers the magic that only an old, masterfully built guitar can produce. The guitar offers a wide range of beautiful timbres in all registers.
