Get your hands on an original Royal Christmas card from 1991, signed by King Charles III and featuring a black and white photograph of William and Harry. This is a must-have for any British Monarchy enthusiast.

The card is heavy stock, with two gold crests pressed on the front exterior. These are the family crests of Winsdor and Spencer.

Please note, this card is unusual as it has the Windsor and Spencer crests, however, was only signed by Charles. This year’s Christmas cards were likely the last Royal cards to have the Spencer crest on the front.

Left interior opens with the greeting, “To you both.”

The message (in black print) reads, “Wishing you a very Happy Christmas and New Year 1992.” The greeting and signature are in black ink.

Right interior has a black and white photograph of William and Harry surrounded by a black print border.

The back exterior is plain.

The card is in excellent condition, however, please view the photos on the carousel as these form part of the description. There are marks on the outside (corners and back) which should be noted.

PLEASE NOTE:

I’ve tried to price my cards fairly, based on their condition and with certainty of their provenance as an immediate relative of the original recipient.

The consensus from other sellers and buyers seems to be that no greeting or a general greeting (e.g. “To you both”) rather than a personalised greeting (e.g. “Dear Bob”) tends to be an indicator that it was signed via autopen.

Since they were received the cards have been carefully stored out of direct sunlight, and for the past 25+ years (at least) have been in a non-smoking home.

The card will be sent with a protective hard plastic sleeve suitable for safe storage.
