Extremely rare FA Councillor's badge presented to an FA Councillor for attending the 1898 FA Cup Final between Derby County and Nottingham Forest.

The match took place on Saturday 16th April 1898 at the Crystal Palace Stadium in South London in front of a crowd of 62,017. Nottingham Forest won the game 3 - 1. This was the first appearance at an FA Cup Final for both teams.

The badge is in the shape of a shield and is embroidered with gold braiding on a red, white & blue background. This braiding depicts a football & spells out "F.A. 1898".

The obverse of the badge bears the manufacturer's details of Kenning, London. The badge still has its original pin fitting attached and has dimensions of 55 mm x 45 mm.

Summary: Victorian FA Councillor's FA Cup Final badges rarely come up for sale and when they do they are sometimes in poor condition bearing in mind they are over 120 years old. This example is in excellent condition. Good luck!
