SUPERB USEABLE CONDITION & WONDERFUL PATINA!
This sale is to purchase a really excellent condition antique late Edwardian period empty watch or medal box. This box dates from C1910/15’s. This box is presented by the world famous Royal jewellers Gieves of Old Bond Street, London W1. The box has a fitted interior and is suitable for a watch or medal.
The box is of a wooden construction, with dark brown leather type finish to the exterior, a cream velvet fitted pad and an inscribed satin interior. It is fitted with a good hinge and button clasp.
The box: measures 2.5’’ in length and is 2.75'' wide. The interior place holder is is a little smaller and suitable for an Edwardian pocket watch of up to 50mm including hasp and is 2.0'' square. The box is 0.75’’
high when closed.
Condition:
This
item is in vintage condition 2/3 and shows only very minor wear to the
exterior. The interior pad is in good
order. The interior satin is a little foxed, but undamamged. The hinge works well, the hinge cover is in excellent original condition. The clasp is in good order. Please see photos? All of our items are
