Because who knows whether “08/15 became the epitome of carelessly manufactured mass-produced goods” before or after “the term butterine was replaced by margarine”. Each player takes turns adding a new one to the chain of mostly strange events, trying to be the first to get rid of their cards. If a player doubts that the event cards are in the correct order, the moment of truth arrives:

The cards are turned over and the chronological order is checked against the specified date. If something is wrong, the player whose turn it was immediately before receives penalty cards. However, if everything is correct, the doubter has to draw penalty cards.
